Principal's Message

Hello Fellow Patriots, Families & Community

 

At Ed Pastor, we believe Education is the most valuable resource we can provide a child.

We commit to provide high expectations to all students. We will build on students strengths and work on their weakness to help build a strong foundation that will help them succeed in the future. Not only, will we focus on academics but will also prepare them be good citizens forming a well rounded child. We will establish a positive school culture where all children feel safe, confident, and motivated to learn. 

 

Our school offers teachers and students the tools needed to be successful, such as: 

  • TAP Teacher and Student Advancement Program
  • CTY John’s Hopkins for students in grades 4-6th, 
  • Gifted testing 3 times a year with differentiation in the classroom
  • Inclusion model in our classrooms for special education students
  • Write Up A Storm for math, writing, and reading
  • District Adopted Curriculum- Reading McMillan McGraw-Hill Treasures & Saxon Math
  • Research-based  professional development
  • Sports Intra-murals
  • Specials such as music, library, PE and Computers
  • District wide band, jazz, and mariachi
  • School Mariachi
  • School Choir
  • Spelling Bee
  • National Elementary Honor Society
  • Science Club
  • Dance Club (Modern and Folkloric) 
  • AppleConnect Ed Grant School (1:1 student iPads, Apple Classrooms)
  • Active PTO committee
